Is this insurance? +
No. This app does not provide insurance or coverage of any kind. It's a tool that helps you list and organize your belongings so you have a clear record if you ever need one.
Why would I need a home contents list? +
Having a list of what you own can save a lot of time and stress. People commonly use it for: insurance paperwork or claims, moving homes, proving ownership, personal records or planning, and estate or financial organization.
What kind of items should I add? +
You can add anything inside your home, including: furniture and appliances, electronics, clothing and personal items, jewelry, artwork, and collectibles, and everyday items you might forget about. Most users are surprised how quickly small items add up.
Do I need receipts for every item? +
No. Receipts are helpful, but not required. You can add: photos of the item, purchase dates (even estimated), notes or descriptions, and estimated values. Add whatever information you have — you can always update it later.
How long does it take to set up? +
You can start in just a few minutes. Many users add items room by room over time instead of doing everything at once.
Can I edit my list later? +
Yes. You can add, update, or remove items anytime. Bought something new? Just add it. Replaced an old item? Update it.
Is my information secure? +
Your contents list is stored securely and only accessible to you. You control what information you enter and when you access it.
Can I share my contents list? +
Yes. If you ever need to share your list (for example, with an insurer or advisor), you can do so easily.

What is MyHomeContents? +
MyHomeContents is a secure web application that helps you create a detailed inventory of everything in your home. You can record items room by room, add photos, track values, and have your records ready for insurance claims, moves, or emergencies.
How does the free trial work? +
When you sign up, you get a free 30-day trial with access to 1 location. During the trial, you can add buildings, rooms, and items to see how the app works. No credit card is required to start. When the trial ends, you'll need to subscribe to a plan to continue using the app.
What happens to my data when my trial or subscription ends? +
Your data is preserved even after your trial or subscription ends. You just won't be able to access or edit it until you subscribe to a plan. We never delete your data without your consent.
What plans are available? +
We offer three paid plans - Basic (2 locations), Plus (5 locations), and Premium (10 locations). Each plan is available in 1-year or 3-year durations, with pricing for Canada (CAD) and Rest of World (USD). Visit our pricing page after logging in for full details.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan? +
Yes! You can change your plan at any time from the Subscriptions page. When you upgrade, you'll be charged the prorated difference. When you downgrade, you'll receive credit towards your new plan.
How is my data protected? +
Your data is stored securely in encrypted cloud storage. We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication, and regular backups. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I cancel my subscription? +
Yes, you can cancel automatic renewal at any time from the Subscriptions page. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period. You can reactivate automatic renewal at any time before your subscription expires.
What payment methods do you accept? +
We process payments securely through Stripe, which accepts all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and more.
